Technical Specifications For Copper-Clad Steel Grounding Electrodes

The technical specifications for copper-clad steel grounding electrodes include a minimum copper layer thickness of ≥0.254 mm (compliant with UL standards), with other available specifications such as 0.33 mm, 0.5 mm, and 1.0 mm. Tensile strength is ≥600 N/mm². Machined straightness deviation is ≤1 mm/m. Copper layer ductility: no cracking occurs on the inner or outer edges of the bend when the electrode is bent by 30 degrees or into a U-shape. Copper layer bonding integrity: adhesion testing shows good bonding between the copper and steel across the surface, with no peeling observed except at the points of contact with the gripping jaws of the pliers. Resistivity is less than 0.059 Ω·mm. Corrosion resistance ensures a service life of over 30 years. The copper layer shows no peeling after undergoing a 300°C rapid cooling test.
