112.5kA Direct Lightning Current Capacity for High Lightning Activity Areas
Product Overview
The NPS01-FBC12.5 AC 1P Surge Protective Device is a Type 1+2 combined high-capacity surge protection solution developed by Ningpu Lightning Protection for areas with frequent lightning activity. Designed according to EN/IEC 61643-11 and GB/T 18802.11 international standards, it meets Type 1+2 / Class I+II protection requirements.
With an impulse current capability of up to 12.5kA (10/350μs), the device is designed to withstand high-energy direct lightning impacts and effectively discharge large surge currents at the incoming side of single-phase power systems.
The compact single-pole 18mm modular structure supports standard 35mm DIN rail installation. Uc voltage options cover 275V to 440V, making it suitable for building power systems, communication base stations, photovoltaic applications, and wind power facilities in high-risk lightning environments.

High-Energy Graphite Spark Gap with Reliable Follow Current Interruption
The internal protection structure adopts a large-size graphite spark gap combined with a high-energy zinc oxide varistor. The spark gap provides excellent follow current interruption capability, ensuring safe disconnection after lightning discharge and preventing overheating caused by continuous current.
High-performance components are selected and tested through high-temperature aging and impulse current verification to ensure strong energy withstand capability and long service life.
The conductive path uses high-purity T2 copper busbars with tin-plated surfaces, offering low contact resistance, excellent conductivity, and reduced temperature rise under high current conditions.
The enclosure is made of UL94V-0 flame-retardant thermoplastic material with IP20 protection. Automated welding, module assembly, and 100% high-current testing ensure stable product performance.
160A Backup Fuse Coordination for Reliable Protection Selectivity
The device provides a nominal discharge current (In) of 20kA (8/20μs) and a maximum discharge current (Imax) of 50kA. The voltage protection level can reach 1.2kV, with a response time of ≤25ns, providing fast and accurate surge suppression.
Recommended for use with a 160A gG backup fuse, the product enables coordinated protection between upstream and downstream devices while reducing unnecessary circuit interruption during lightning events.
The integrated thermal disconnector and red/green status indicator provide clear operating information. Green indicates normal operation, while red indicates replacement is required.
Optional remote signaling contacts support AC 250V/0.5A output and remote monitoring functions. The unit operates from -40℃ to +80℃ with 5%-95% humidity and supports 4-25mm² conductors, making it a reliable choice for single-phase systems in high lightning areas.
