The primary types of equipotential bonding connectors include mechanical, welded, testable, corrosion-resistant, and modular units. Mechanical connectors typically feature U-shaped, T-shaped, or cross-shaped designs and utilize bolts or clamping mechanisms to secure cables to metal components; they are easy to install and suitable for most indoor and outdoor grounding applications-common examples include multifunctional copper grounding clamps and stainless steel crimp connectors, typically sized for round steel (Φ6mm–Φ20mm) or flat steel (40×4mm). Welded connectors create permanent bonds via fusion or exothermic welding, offering low contact resistance and high mechanical strength; they are ideal for permanent lightning protection systems-such as welding underground rebar to flat steel or foundation grounding grids-and require hot-dip galvanizing or anti-corrosion treatment. Testable connectors feature a dedicated port for connecting testing instruments, facilitating maintenance and grounding resistance checks; they are used in critical facilities such as hospitals, laboratories, wind power equipment cabinets, and data centers. Corrosion-resistant connectors are made of 316L stainless steel or hot-dip galvanized material and include insulating protective sleeves; they are designed for environments with high humidity, high salinity (salt spray), or high corrosivity, such as coastal wind farms and water pumping stations. Modular equipotential bonding units feature a DIN-rail mounting base, enabling centralized wiring for multiple circuits.
