Installation Precautions for Surge-Protected Power Strips

1. For rack-mount surge-protected power strips: After pressing the power switch, the grounding indicator (yellow) lights up to indicate a reliable ground connection; the operation indicator (green) lights up to indicate the surge protection components are functioning correctly; and the power indicator (red) lights up to indicate the unit is properly powered.

2. The load connected to the surge-protected power strip must not exceed its rated power capacity.

3. The grounding terminal of the surge-protected power strip is internally connected to the ground pin (E-pin) of its plug.

4. If the wall outlet to which the unit connects is properly grounded, simply plug the unit in directly; otherwise, the unit's grounding terminal must be connected to a grounding network before use. For optimal surge protection performance, it is recommended to establish a reliable connection between the unit's grounding terminal and a grounding network.

5. During use, the surge-protected power strip should be inspected periodically to ensure the indicator lights are functioning normally.
