Product Overview

The NPS01-F60 AC 4P Surge Protective Device is a high-capacity Type 2 (Class II) full-mode surge protection device designed for demanding three-phase four-wire power distribution systems. It complies with EN/IEC 61643-11 and GB/T 18802.11 standards and is certified to Type 2/Class II requirements. The product features four independent protection poles – L1-PE, L2-PE, L3-PE, and N-PE – with each pole delivering a nominal discharge current In of 30kA (8/20μs) and a maximum discharge current Imax of 60kA. This configuration simultaneously suppresses both common-mode and differential-mode overvoltages, providing comprehensive no-blind-spot surge protection for three-phase systems with higher surge exposure. The 144mm four-pole width fits standard 35mm DIN rail mounting, with Uc covering 275V to 440V. It is widely used in industrial control systems, medical facilities, precision manufacturing, and other demanding three-phase distribution systems requiring enhanced secondary surge protection.

Each pole uses an independent large-diameter high-energy zinc oxide varistor chip with enhanced energy tolerance, low leakage current, and fast response time, effectively filtering high-magnitude induced lightning surges and various switching overvoltages. The four-pole independent design ensures that if one pole fails, the other three poles continue to operate normally, preventing a single fault from causing complete system shutdown. Each pole is independently equipped with a thermal disconnector and a red/green status indicator window – green indicates normal operation, while red indicates failure and the need for replacement, making fault location quick and accurate across all four poles. The current path uses high-purity copper with large cross-section tin-plated terminals, ensuring low contact resistance, high surge current capacity, and excellent temperature rise control under 60kA surge conditions. The UL94V-0 red thermoplastic housing with IP20 protection rating meets industrial insulation safety requirements.

This series offers an Up voltage protection level as low as 1.5kV and a response time of ≤25ns, combining low residual voltage with high protection accuracy. A 125A gG back-up fuse is recommended to achieve optimal selective coordination between upstream and downstream protection stages, preventing nuisance tripping of upstream breakers during lightning strikes and ensuring power supply continuity. An optional normally open/normally closed floating changeover contact for remote signaling (AC 250V/0.5A) is available, supporting connection to building management or monitoring systems for remote centralized status monitoring. The device operates within -40°C to +80°C and 5% to 95% humidity, and accommodates conductors from 4mm² to 35mm². With 35mm DIN rail quick mounting, this is the enhanced configuration for secondary surge protection in demanding three-phase power distribution systems.
